These are just a couple of a large collection of color ads that were used to try get theatres to book The Master Mystery.
It did well enough for the bean counters in Hollywood to sign him for that two picture deal.
Jesse Lasky recognized the potential in the escape artists name and talents for pictures. Shortly after the serial was released Lasky approached Houdini and signed him to a two-picture deal under the Paramount-Artcraft banner, where he made “The Grim Game” and “Terror Island”.
